To Blog or Not to Blog?

Main Ideas:

  • to blog or not

  • whether people read blogs or not

  • the generations that blog

  • generations that read blogs

The perspectives of the data is somewhat confusing to what the article is talking about, the data shows the breakdown of age range on the blog site of both BlogHer and iVillage into groups from the ages of 18-76 years old.

The artilce also goes on to say that people would rather use facebook because of things such as the "Like" button and find facebook and other social networks easier to stay connect socially, either news or personal communications.

Personally I think that blogging and facebook are two different creative outlets, facebook and twitter and myspace are mainly used as a way for you to keep intouch with people. Where as a blog is really for you to express your own creativity and things that interest you. Yes on facebook you can write a status but with that status you are still limited with characters. But on a blog you have al the space you want to say all that you want.

This photographer used elements of "Six Appeal" to get the message across that immigration not only effects adults it efects children as well. The elements used is color, the colors from the flag and the colors from the baby's skin tone. Also the placement of the flag (grid/format) and how the baby is centered, this gives the reader a sense of endearment for this child. From this picture I ger that it shows how the children are the future and all children deserve a chance at great oppurtunities that we have in this country.
